I have had 5 calls today from assorted numbers offering to replace my LED lights.
Another pest blocked!

Asked about the electric hot water system they installed - is it working ok?

Except they haven't installed any such system - wierdest telemarketing opening I've ever heard.

I asked for the ABN, he tried to talk over me, so I asked again. He put me on hold and never came back.

Said they were calling on behalf of the Victorian government who are upgrading hot water services to help reduce energy. Very strange.

The company name I was given was “Free Upgrade”, and called in regards to upgrading our hot water system. When he mentioned our company name but with the wrong address, I just told him to send an e-mail to our support e-mail but he said that he has no access to e-mails etc. Blocked the number now.

Indian scammer. Blacklisted!

Caller: INDIAN SPAM

As soon as I answered (work) phone, he wanted me to confirm the company address and name, etc. blabbed on about an upgrade. Up to this point, I hadn't said anything, so when he took a breath to continue, I SLAMMED the phone down in his ear. Effing spammy nuisance calls!!!

Called my 1300 number. Unsolicited time-wasters. Thick accent, could not understand properly. Said they would send an energy auditor. Claimed to be linked to government program. Blocked

Saying they replaced LED lights 2 years ago- they never did. Saying they will replace hot water system free of charge, very persistent and pushy on the phone. Blocked them

They keep on calling about lights even though we have told them our lights have all been updated.

Company name I was given was “Free Upgrade”, and Called in regards to “inspecting our lights” and when I told him we weren’t interested, and to please remove us from their caller list, Gaurav( the supposed name of the rep) became quite rude, telling me “ no I won’t do that, put a complaint in, do what you want to do”

I received a call from this number which I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

Claimed he had installed some new lights and wanted to check them. When they come, they replace them for other ones, you sign (or they sign pretending to be you), and the taxpayer picks up the bill.

Left a 2 min voicemail with no message but I could hear other telemarketers in the background offering free LED lights upgrade.

Was very insistent on having the LED lights changed over, even though we already have LED lights installed in the premises. They even gave me the phone number to their call centre to have my boss call them back! How strange, that never happens.
