Caller: Save costs on Electricity

Had a call from 0421 286 109 asking about power savings. The mobile is dodgy as it's not connected if you ring it back or they are using some else's number. They said they will get someone to call you back in 10 mins or less to get you a better deal. The return number maybe a variant of the mobile or it's this 0370xxxx number. FN Scammers.

Robot call from "Commonwealth Bank" saying there was an attempt to purchase $1800 of Bitcoin from my debit card. I pressed 2 to allow it lol and was automatically transferred to a scammer who was incredibly chatty and said "hello". Yes, goodbye.

Caller: Credit card scammer

Robocall stating that $1399 had been soent from my Visa/Mastercard and I should press 1 to stop it or 2 to allow it.
Naturally I pressed 1. I wanted to know what the scam was.
They asked me for my name, address, bank , account balance. I gave them a fake name, bank and account balance. I also gave my address as the address of the local police station.

They stated that people were trying to break into my account and that they needed my help to stop it.
Ihave heard this scam many times.
They then say that they need your help to stop hackers from your local branch and ask you to go to the branch and withdraw around $10000 from your account.
They say that they are secretly depositing the same amount into your account (but it is invisible so you cannot see it if you ask for an account balance).
The next step is to convert the money to steam cards or itunes cards to get you to deposit the money into another account or send a western union money order.

This is all total crap. They just want to con you out of your money.

Issue with my router, saying they could see I'd been hacked, that my lights were off, and all my security was at risk without even asking who I was or confirming details like my name or account details etc. When I said I wasn't worried about it and they could hack me if they liked (because obviously it was a phishing call), he started verbally abusing me. Great scam call - not!
