Caller: Scammer

Idiot calls and it's a scammer. Don't under any circumstances tell them anything, they are fraudulent criminals. If they visit call police and prepare to defend yourself.

I got a call from this number too. Usually I don't answer to numbers I don't know and then wait to see if they leave a message. I looked this number up here to see if others have been getting calls from this number and to see their thoughts. Good thing too. Thanks everyone for diligently placing your messages about this number here. It's helpful.

They said they were the Australian financial ombudsman

SCAM CALL claiming to be a representative of the Australian Governor for Victorian Energy Initiative. BLOCK & report them to https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam

missed call from them, when I call back, there is an automated message that this number is not in service

Call asked who I was then hung up.

Ask for a “Ms James”, my name has never been James nor will it ever be. Scammer, don’t answer

They called and I thought it was a work call so answered and there was a click on the other end, so I hung up.

Called in evening, mobile blocked as spam caller/suspected fraud. No other searches found....could be insurance telemarketing based on emails we have been receiving??
