I received a call from this number. I didn't answer it but I did try calling it. A reply came back that this number doesn't exist.

Said they were calling from Amazon’s security department. Hung up.

Scam, called back and line was disconnected

They didn’t leave a message….so, blocked.

It sounded like an automated message that called wanting to advise me that someone had used my debit card for $800 and that to stop this I needed to...
I hung up then

Caller: Obviously a scam called

Called me and asked for me by name which was actually very scary, he said a name and said he was from the Australian law enforcement agency which had my heart racing. I was like what’s going on and he said that they had a recently arrested a man at Melbourne Airport with documents on 160 different people and mine was one of them and how I lost my ID recently. I hung up immediately because I only have one and it sounded so suspicious. Be very aware!!

Caller hung up when i answered.

They claimed that they were calling from PayPal and wanted to verify a payment of $1000

Caller: Alex from Commonwealth Bank

Caller said they were Alex from Commonwealth Bank & knew my name. When I said I didn’t bank with Commonwealth Bank they said it didn’t matter. I advised I didn’t trust him & if the Commonwealth Bank needed to contact me they could send me a letter . He then became argumentative trying to get me to continue talking to him. Very obvious he was not a professional customer service representative from Commonwealth Bank & this was a scam. So I hung up & blocked him.

Caller: Supposedly Telstra

The question should be: "When are Telstra and others going to stop selling blocks of phone numbers with no accountability that these people are using to call us on?"

Caller: Claiming to be Telstra

Must be late "silly season". Several Three calls today from different numbers all claiming to be from Telstra and wanting to talk about problems with my internet. I said to them that I doubted they were from Telstra, goodbye and hung up.

Caller: ?

Said they were from “the security department of visa and Mastercard”. Hung up

Unknown number, did not answer

Caller: Some kind of call centre

When I said I was away overseas he just hung up.
