Rang me , asked for Larry. My name isn't Larry. Not the first time they have called me asking for him. I once kept them on the phone for 30 minutes pretending to be him. They weren't happy that I wasted their time.

Caller: Scam about electric

Bad connection mentioned a bill about electricity ( I don’t have any electricity in my name) SCAM (03) 7050 7208

Apparently AGL from what the female said.
Long distance tick tick before person began speaking with a strong non Australian accent in a call room with loud noise.

Claimed she got my name from a database. Wrong name provided.

I stated no-one authorised comparison calls.
I asked to speak with the supervisor as this is a breach of privacy. She claimed she was the supervisor. I said to remove this number from the call list.
She argued. "No, you need to listen to me...are you the person who pays for electricity?"
I said I'd speak with the supervisor as this is a breach of privacy and I did not authorise a scam call.
She refused and argued it was totally Australian business not a scam in any way.
I said to remove my number from the database as it is a breach of privacy and I did not authorise sharing of details.
She became loud and rude when I refused to answer her questions with personal details and I kept repeating to speak with supervisors as it was a breach of privacy that I did not authorise this call or the sharing of my contact details. She then hung up when she didn't get the answers she wanted.

Called the number back and the autobot said the company was "unique offer" but no-one answered.

Highly suspicious.

Called AGL directly who confirmed this number is not one of their official office numbers. They stated it was a scam.

Spam call harassing me to sell electricity
They claimed to be able to sell me electricity at a cheaper price but couldn’t quote prices
Jason ironically abused me for wasting his time
