I answered call and got a recorded message hi this is Olivia from the Commonwealth bank. Don't bank with them, so hung up

they did not leave a message - reading here - glad I did not answer - blocked call

This call showed as coming from Melbourne, Vic. When I answered there was a delay, then a male caller (with an Indian accent) told me he was from the security department of Visa and Mastercard and there had been some suspicious international transactions on my card. I told him that it was all OK and he hung up abruptly. It was a scam call.

Caller: Some robotic message saying “ Oliver From Comm Bank” I hung up definitely scammers.

When answered there’s a silent wait and a robotic voice saying
“Hi , Oliver from comm bank , we are calling because suspicious amount of 18000 “. I didn’t hear the rest just hung up. Don’t be fooled the bank will never call randomly and talk about suspicious activity without getting your information. But scammers are getting better with scamming. So please hang up and call the bank to be sure it’s the bank calling

Caller: Male caller

A man called claiming to be from Vodafone. He warned me that all my mobile numbers would be blocked because I've allegedly registered a number with them and sent numerous advertising SMS messages to other people.

I took the call but did not speak. The scammers recoreded messages will not start playing if you don't speak & the calls will be disconnected. "Olivia" from the Commonwealth Bank has called me 3 times in the last week from different numbers, I don't bank Commonwealth and the Commonwealth Bank do NOT have recorded messages ........ SCAM!

SCAM - Do not answer!

I received a phone call from (03) 7050 4105 and they said they were from the NBN and when I questioned them they hung up

scammer calling that phone going to be disconnected, please press 1 for english and press 2 for chinese.

They apparently called (but not for long enough for my phone to ring) and didn't leave a message. I got the message blips, and checked the number here before I tried to call them back. So yeah, there's still someone out there using this number to try and do something scammy.

Male person identified himself as being from Commbank, said there was suspicious activity on my account and asked if I had made a purchase of bitcoins today.

SCAMMER told me he was from soar panel scheme

Pretending to be a bank, trying to scam me

Had a couple of calls from this number. Rings about 4 or 5 times then stops
I don't anwer calls from numbers not in my contacts list.
Simple!

Definitely a scammer as everyone else has noted. If they don't leave a message and redial and it goes direct to "your call couldn't be connected". Bin.

Told me he was from PayPal Security, said they blocked a charge on my paypal account this morning for giftcards, I dont have a paypal account, but he did read out my email address and phone number. Hung up...

Caller: Definitely a Scammer

Voicemail left in robotic female voice saying some BS about having some emergency "immigration" information and to dial whatever numbers for English, Chinese, etc. What a pathetic attempt to scam Aussies. Blowhards Blocked!
