Attempted fraud or nuisance call.
A recorded female Australian voice reported an attempted withdrawal from an account at a bank I did not have any contact with.
Wanted to me to press 1 for yes = ok, or 2 for no. I pressed neither and the line went dead.
A few minutes later, they called again but no one spoke at all this time.

Robocall trying to tell me my phone service would be disconnected. Received essentially the same call twice within roughly an hour, more recently this number and earlier from 0488 872 812. In both cases the recorded message invited me to "press 1 for English," which I did, and was answered by someone speaking Chinese, both of whom hung up on me when I told them I had pressed 1 for English. When I called the mobile format number back, I got a "not in service" message, and when I called the 03 number back (twice) I got an "in the queue" message repeatedly counting down the supposed number of callers ahead of me and both times eventually disconnecting me when I was supposedly "next in line." I went to the trouble of doing this for the simple reason that scammers nearly always falsify their CID information and I wanted to inform whoever (if anyone) the number legitimately belonged to that it was being misused in that way.

Thank you from Brisbane! Call received but not answered from this number at 15:26 on 28 December 2023 - Melbourne, Victoria came up as the sender.

This was a scam call, they were saying there from the master card fraud department. Just hang up.

The damn cheek to call at 5.30 on Xmas day.

Female with an Indian accent knew my name and said she was from the AFP... I hung up then got calls from 0488 872 818, 0488 872 815, (03) 7049 0108 and (03) 7049 0100.

Susected bot or fraud call. No voice and call termiated from their end after 30 seconds.

Called me. Didn't get through or leave a message. Didn't pick up when I returned call.

Scam, told me my phone was blocked and had to contact their service centre to unblock it in English and Chinese.

On 16/12/2023 at 5.18 pm I received a call from the above number that I didn't recognise.
On picking up there was a delay before a recorded voice with an American accent said that my phone will be disconnected soon, I then hung up.
It was obvious that this was a computer generated voice & a scam.
