Scam call from a company purporting to assist with share trading and IPO's

I think it was from China. I answered and got a recorded message saying "Government Call press one for English two for Chinese. It was then cut off and the same happened again ??????

Said it was from Visa regarding a fraudulent $300 eBay transaction

likely a scammer- beware. On phone back, message advised temporarily out of service

Recorded message in regards to Visa - hung up straight away, so didn't get any other information

Automated message - Claims to have a message for you from the Aust govt. Asks you to select 1 for English or 2 for Chinese. If you select 1, the call is immediately disconnected.

Claims to be a government call with info about me.. press 1 for English and 2 for Chinese

Caller: Unnamed North American-accented female saying an important message from the Australian government & to access tap 1 or if I’m Chinese , tap 2.

I listened without talking then hung up, blocked number then deleted it.

Went to message bank. Foreign language.

I pressed 1 and it hung up on me

Recorded message stating two payments were made, one for $300 and the other for $1000. There was an option to use but I didn't as I knew I didn't make any purchases and I checked my account, and nothing was taken from it.

Unknown number left no message. Suspect scam

Automatic message telling me I had money transferring out of my visa account and to press 1 if I hadn't authorised. SCAM.

Visa robo scumm, claimed I'd made E-Bay purchase, funny they rang yesterday on (03) 7043 9425, which I'd blocked that number.
Looks like they are going to call every day like last year, one number after the next, till they are all blocked

Probably a scammer, but who knows, it might have been the one legitimate call this week. The number has been blocked and will be reported to authorities - for what that is worth! Like someone else suggested on another number look up site, never answer a call from an unknown or unrecognized number.

Said it was the “visa call centre” and that I had two concerning transactions, I hung up after that.
