Caller: Scam

Some kind of scam telling you to update GP something or other. I just hung up and blocked the number when it started talking gibberish in some Asian language.

Scammer. They've rung from different numbers daily - (03) 7035 2633, (03) 7035 2635 and +39 377 2299703 (Italy, of all places).

Took a few seconds with background noise for him to speak. Obviously a scammer saying he is from Amazon. He asked how I was, and I said I was having a terrible day and I hoped he wouldn't make it worse. He hung up.

This looks like a scam call operation that doesn't stick with a single theme. For me they claimed to be calling from Telstra, which already raised the red flag. I said I don't have Internet with Telstra but they insist that Telstra runs all the Internet in the country and it's important so I listen to see what the scam is about.

They said a bunch of technical things about how my IP is no longer on a private server and is in the open and my privacy is compromised — I'm technical none of what they were saying is now ISPs and the Internet work, but can probably cause a lot of stress for people who are non-technical.

They hung up as soon as I asked if it's a scam because none of what they are saying makes sense.

says its from immigration that I have some documents to collect.
