Why are the telcos not checking this website and legally charging all the spam callers?!

Left phone at home and came back to a missed call from this number. I know I did not miss anything due to these comments. Thank you.

Caller: Indian scam artists

This particular scammer was caught out by a Welsh guy on YouTube who hacked their webcams and data.
These call centres are total vermin toe-rags.

Saw Indian gent in street today, later in day get marketting on this number - blocked pest bstd.

Bloody annoying. Obviously from some overseas call centre. First, "Peak Energy" THEN, "Energy Australia" When I asked for an offer in writing, he told he could not do that because the Gov't had changed the regulations as of 1 Jan. I told him if they called back again, I would blow a dog whistle in the phone. Guess what that does to ear drums. He said Bye, and hung up.

Caller: Indian man?

Called few times and claimed to be from the company energy Australia after we said our energy and gas bills are from energy Australia. They also claimed that the bill prices have gone up from the start of the year and are here to provide us a ‘savings plan’. Also told us to give them our address.

Not to dissimilar to the rest of the comments here having received two calls today from this number only to hang up when I answer. Not putting up with that sh*t so blocked the call. The other thing that I’ve done recently is now silencing all calls that I do not know the origin of which has been fantastic except for when it’s a legitimate person and they get silenced and blocked. But to get over that problem they leave a sms message if I recognise who they are I will call them back. That works....no harassment

Welcome to 2021, they have started again. This number has been blocked since they started calling nearly every day (even weekends) since the middle of last year. As someone else has previously commented, it's pretty much like harassment. I thought the telcos were meant to be doing something about stopping scam/spam phone calls?

all I did was went into my settings and have block all overseas calls, and now they are calling from an australian number.
another that has to be blacklisted on my phone. scammers have not a ounce of decency so treat them the same.

So far, nbn cyber security, amazon account (dont have one) telstra internet ( not with telstra), list goes on. Had fun with guy fro nbn cyber security, he isnt calling back

Caller: Beta Electricity (apparently)

Some Indian Call Centre letting me know about the change in electricity prices

Called me without introducing himself, or where he was from, and asked, "Is this {my name}?" and I asked "who is this?",
Scott was the answer, in a thick Indian accent.
Asked if I had solar panels on my roof.
Told him it was none of his business and hung up.
He then tried calling me back on a mobile.0411 083 918.

Caller: Indian lady

Indian lady started talking about best electricity providers. When I stated that I did not have time for this, she ignored me and kept talking, I stated again I need to go .. again she kept talking through the script ... I had to hang up to stop the conversation.

Caller: Indian woman

Said I didn't want to switch energy providers and she yelled "Did I ask you to change?! Do not get smart with me sir!" It was at this point that I hung up.

They were pressing for the name of my electricity provider and they kept saying it was about getting the best rate or watever the fk. I asked the company name and they said it was ‘beat energy’ based in melbourne, i googled it but nothing came up. I am also on the do not call register
