They call at least 3 times every day. They claim to be Telstra. Heavy Indian accent. They humg up when I said I was an emergency line and they needed to give me their 8 digit access code. When they tried to give me one (hahaha) I then said misuse of this emergency line would be traced to their location and they would be individually fined &100,000. They stuttered, said they had the wrong number and hung up. (Lions 1, Gladiators Nil)

They have called at least three times a day for the last week about solar panels. I keep telling them I don’t own a home and before I can ask for them to stop calling they hang up on me, I’m not even being rude to them!!!!!
When I have more time, in the past, I’ll string them along. You just need to run with whatever they say, without giving anymore info other than your name as they already have that. It will go a couple of ways; they get hostile at you for wasting their time (but you have just successfully stopped them from calling 20 other people), or I’ve even let them setup house visits and they will ask if I’m still at an address that I rented more than ten years ago and I’ll say yes (not fare on who lives there now, but they will be trying to call me to see where I am).
A fun one is to give them a false email. For example; ”you’re name”@5uckm1d1ck.com. Someone actually called me back after 5 min to see if I was messing with them.

So it looks like once again the only way to fix these callers is to give them some of their own annoying treatment back so on a dunny wall write...... for a good time call (03) 7020 5650 😂😂😂

Thanks, for all the stories of that chameleon. I did not answer as it’s a fake number, as far as I know it reads as Victoria, but the number is computer generated. See Wikipedia for genuine areas of a State.

I have been receiving calls from this same number numerous times all month now, I haven't answered any calls, then I get sent MMS texts saying tap to download, which I haven't done either. I have blocked this number. But I still get calls, which I don't hear due to blocking the number, but I do still get notifications and the MMS's go into my messages Archive, so I just delete that as well as Their annoying Calls. I hope Telstra can stop them, but as There are so many Scammers calling people it must make it hard to stop them all. Just don't answer the call, block the number and just delete the MMS texts they send & Hopefully they will get the Hint & Stop Calling!!. I hope.

Got call from this number. Tried to call back and line just dead.
Based on these comments, I have also blocked it.

Going through website registry info trying to scam people in to paying for web design services. Do not answer. Do not say the word "yes". Do not acknowledge who you are or any questions they ask.

Called 4 times in the last 24 hours - picked up today - said they were from LED Upgrades I asked for contact details they said they can't give those out I need to book an appointment. Absolute scam

Caller: Maybe the light scam again...

We had a LED light marketer turn up at the door today. An hour later we get this call. And I thought door to door salesmen were banned by government legislation from this year; yet this fella claims to be working for a government department... Call blocked.

thought it was someone else and picked up...no more than hello hello ... listed that number as "ignore" in my contact list :)
