I called back the number (03) 7019 0469 but the phone just kept ringing

It's a sad state of affairs, but I now just refuse to answer any calls, mobile or landline if I either don't know the number or the number is not shown. The only good thing to come out of all this is, my first port of call when these calls come in is here to see if there's any discussion or comments on the number - invariably there is, a big thanks to all who place comments on here.

At my wits’ end with these telemarketers - so now I’m fighting fire with fire. Every time they phone to offer a “free solar panel assessment”, I give them the address of a prison, a brothel, or a far flung tourist destination in a hard-to-reach location. When they turn up and realise they’ve been duped, I get a flurry of calls - until I block that number, too. I’ve tried to be polite. I’ve reminded these call centre, many times, they’re in breach of the Do Not Call register. I’ve firmly asked them to remove my details from their database. Still, the calls keep coming. Two can play at this game! If they keep wasting my time, I will keep waisting theirs.

I didn't recognise number so I wont answer it. So far hasn't left a message therefore likely it is nobody I want to speak to. Will block number after a further period of time.

Blocked them on landline and mobile. They still ring 4-5 times daily on each number. This must be a huge waste of their time.

Have more blocked number in my phone than I do numbers in my address book on the phone - Another one just added after 3 call in last 30 minutes and No message left

I have had 3 calls from this number in the past 3 days - first time I didn't answer - no message was left. Second call I answered - told me I could save 80% on electricity bills with no outlay, and using solar panels - I told him I didn't believe him, that I was an engineer working in the electricity industry, that I wasn't interested, and not to call me again. Third call today - before he could spin his story, I told him that he was going to offer me 80% discount on electricity costs, with no outlay by me - he confirmed! When I told him that I'd rejected this offer from one of his cousins yesterday and firmly stated that I was not to be called again, he just kept going. He finally hung up when I kept talking over the top of him. Next time, I'm going to sound interested and string him out for as long as possible, max time wasting for him. The problem is how did he know my name?

It is very bad that we have to continually deal with these annoying phone calls. I get about 3 telemarketing/scam calls a day from various numbers. Always check the number online, and invariably there are complaints about them. I now don't answer my phone if I don't recognize the number. If it is important or genuine, people will usually leave a message.

Wasting my time, I pick up phone there is no one there!! Then it hangs up ANOTHER ROBOCALL annoying......

I sore at him and he hung up, so my answer to you all is swear at them or tell them you hate cows

these people are trying to sell government rebate on solar panels

Persistent nuisance caller claiming to sell solar panels. Called three times in an hour. This number is blocked on my mobile but they still call multiple times per day.
