Charity Prime! Another scammer, this time apparently from Ulverstone, Tasmania

Caller: Lisa Collins- Charity Choice

This group of scammers have called numerous times & I sick of it. I pick up & don't talk & the robo voice says "her" name & starts talking & says they are the largest charity group in Australia > so I hang up. Apart from the number listed here they have previously have called on a lot of other numbers (03) 9961 0702 plus (03) 9961 0701 also 03- 5915 9767 and (03) 9961 0707 and (03) 9961 0703 and (03) 9961 0704 and (03) 9961 0708 - so 8 different numbers are being used that I know of.

I answer the phone but no one said anything then just hang up

Caller: Automated call

This call showed as coming from Ulverstone, Tasmania. When I answered there was a silence of several seconds, then an automated female voice came on and told me she was from a charity research group called Charity Prime. She began asking questions requiring answers of yes or no, I let her go for a couple of questions (to see what they were about) then responded "no" and hung up. I strongly suspect it's a scam of some sort.

Obviously scammers - yet more of the lowlifes. They called again this evening and hung up when the answering machine kicked in. They've called several times now from slightly different numbers, so I'll block all calls from numbers starting with the first few digits. It's all I can do since (03) numbers are local for me.
Don't answer calls from unknown numbers or these scam attempts will never stop and innocent people will have their personal details and money stolen. Genuine callers will leave a message and you can return the calls.
If you do answer the phone and find that it is this fake charity mob yet again, please report it to Scamwatch.

Why is it not possible to shut down Charity Choice? They are by far my most common pest caller.

Received a phone call @9.25am today to our landline phone& let it ring out & do to message bank.
No message left & they just hung up so concluded it was a SCAM. How can I stop these type of calls on
our home landline phone & or block these numbers????

No message left- had to laugh- said the call was from Ulverstone Tasmania and yet the numbers area code starts 03! Scam- blocked

Def a scam. Pretending to be a female's voice, but every time she said "Awesooome" it was EXACTLY the same in tone and length, and the responses were clearly automated. Said I wanted to deal with them anonymously which she said was fine but then kept pushing and prodding for personal details, starting with name! She already had my surname (after asking me for it, I didn't give it, but she then spelled it out letter by letter (exactly half a second between letters) - I asked where that came from and she said they received it from list brokers. I confirmed I am on the Do Not Call list - there was no automated response for that so she went with "Do you want to proceed?". Gotta be sooo careful these days ...

Even though I've previously blocked this number I can see who has tried to call... and so, today... there they are again. Nuisance callers.

I never answer these obvious unsolicited calls from strange numbers. No message left... surprise surprise! Blocked.
