Caller: (03) 6124 2597 Don't even bother answering the phone to this number. Just let it flick to voicemail and let them leave a message (which they never do).

LED light sales, offer to my business. I told him that my number is a private number, not a business. He then asked if I had a shed and what kind of lights are in it. I politely said no thank you. He asked again, more forcefully, I declined once more. He then asked "Are you dumb or what?" Needless to say that was the end of the call.

Caller: Scammers / sales / unsolicited calls I got a missed call from this number and looked up the number on this site like I do most often every day just about. I have now blocked the number as I have done many times and will do many times more until I die or have no phone.

Conscienceless psychopathic scammers. I'd blocked the number but still they were intent on driving me crazy if they could: attempted calls at 12.37, 12.56 and 1.15. There will doubtless be more. (Please will people reporting these scam calls stop referring to the Do Not Call Register. It was not set up as a police agency for pursuing international, industrial-scale criminal scam factories. Block the calls from these criminals and never answer calls from unknown numbers.)

After 4 calls in an hour from the same number I told them I reported it to the police (Which I have actually done, Also to the ACCC scamwatch via the Victoria government website.) and so far not another call since.

Woman rang tonight and asked if we have changed over our hot water service to a new free heat pump version, even though we are looking into it my husband said no, we are not interested, we would much rather ring a company that is already doing this service in our area, very glad I looked up this number on reverse Australia!

The caller was trying the flog the Vic. government's weather seal program asking had we receive our free weather strip program.
When I asked the caller (a woman) about who did she work for she put me on to her manager a man, Michael, with thick Indian/Pakistan accent. I repeated my question saying the Vic. government says he had to give me certain details, company name and street address, he got quite angry. But under pressure he said 12 Old Sale Road, Druin. It seems from Google earth to be a vacant block of land.

Getting hang up calls around 3-4 a day for the last couple of weeks. They did talk initially they said they were from government, I kept asking what their company name was till I finally got it. Then told them I would report them as the phone is listed on the do not call. They hung up and now they still ring they just dont talk. My landline does not have a block function and its driving me bats.

I have received 5 calls so far today from this number, it rings once then disconnects. No answer when you try to return the call. Strange.

Yet another scamming lowlife calling and refusing to leave a message, so yet another number used by scammers unblocked so that I can block this one. My phone does not store a thousand blocked numbers which I estimate is about the number I need. I'm heartily sick of this plague of pests. Please stop answering calls from these scammers of they will never stop. Just don't answer calls from unknown numbers, as even the CEO of one of our largest telcos has resorted to doing. Please stop referring to the Do Not Call Register. If you signed up for it, you know perfectly well that it's not some super international crime-tracking agency that can somehow trace and put a stop to the industrial-scale scamming industry being run by international crime gangs in countries such as Laos to Nigeria. If any international law enforcement agency could eliminate these criminal syndicates, they would have done so long before now. Just don't answer calls from scammers. Block the numbers of persistent pests. A legitimate caller will, obviously, leave a message so that you can return the call.

Caller: Said she was Lisa from Energy Upgrade Usual possibly indian accent, a woman. About changing light bulbs, as I'm on the DNC register and the Victorian Energy Upgrade program specifically states their subcontractors are NOT permitted to call people on the DNC I wanted her company name so I could report the call. She kept repeating "energy upgrade" . A Barnaby Joyce type idiotic response. I lost patience with the obvious lying lowlife caller and hung up. Is there no end to these scumbags calls??????

Caller: Unsure - Electric something Electric hot water system scam. They claim to be offering free electric hot water systems. I've never heard of a free hot water system program, sponsored by the government, so I asked for the company name; I think I offended the bloke because he hung up.
