Caller: Said he was from Telstra

This is a scam. The number is not connected and they are saying there is a problem with your internet. Suspect they are trying to steal identity etc.

Pack of wankers trying to fleece money

Caller: Internet scam.

Hung up on them. Bloody thieving parasites !!!

Caller: Jason from Telstra, but gave another name first

Told me our internet was giving a lot of error messages. rang from (03) 5968 7863, but when I wanted to call him back gave me 1800 312 100 to call. I asked him for my Telstra ID. He just gave me any number and said if it was not mine, I should hang up. Well, it wasn't mine. He said he was located 242 Exhibition Str, Melbourne. He proceeded to ask me to press certain keys on my computer - yea right.

Has called several times and hung up without leaving a message.

Said they were from Telsta technical ctr. Yeah right.

Caller: Linda (man voice) from Telstra

Caller said he was from "Telstra Technical Department".
I have 30 years employee experience with Telstra; they don't have a "Technical Department" per se.
Each area is named by the technology with which they deal, eg. Radio, Lines.

But they are scammers wanting to get into your computer to copy files so you get a blue screen then they put the file back after you have payed their demands.
There is a lady then switches to a male from Shrilanka

Calling repeatedly. Haven't answered.

Hung up when answered.

Caller: Supposedly Telstra

Said they were from Telstra in relation to an issue with my internet browser. (Note that they didn't actually say or ask which browser I use!!)
As I responded back in a different language, they hung up.

Hung up as soon as answered.
