Robot Voice claiming a $290 purchase has been made on my eBay account and to call a number or to press a number to connect to an operator. Ignored it. Sounded like a bullsh*t scam.

I received a call from this number at precisely 12 noon on the dot (which I thought was rather 'interesting' first off) but let it ring out because a. it is a previously unknown number to me (standard protocol anyway), and b. because it came tagged with a "Potential Fraud" red-flag warning from my server.
However, the caller left a short voice message in my mms box, and which was a 'dolly-girl robot' (who did not even identify 'herself', or the company she was calling on behalf of, or what particular order, or order number, this was supposedly all about) who launched into a spiel, first "thanking me for my order" [what order?!🤔] and that an order to debit $299.99 (I mean, well, why not just $300.?🤣) from my account (😳 WHAT frrrkin 'account'? 😂) and bidding me to call that same number urgently (03) 5877 7000) if in fact I did not place 'the order' (again, WHAT f**kin' order?😡) so debit of $299.99 can be stopped.
Well, neither did I place "the f**king order", or phone the number back.
Ta ta!

I have received a call from this number today saying an ebay order $299 and if not mine then I had to open playstore on my phone where I would be directed to some form. I simply told them I hadn't ordered anything, to cancel the order and if one cent was debited from my account I would sue them. When I told them that I believed this was a scam they hung up.

Caller: Pretending to be from eBay

The robo voice claimed to be from eBay for $299.99 charged to my account. I taunted the Indian scammer with, "Which account number of mine is being charged?" The piece of human trash replied all of them and "It will be for the $699.99 then the whole of the money now is being for the $13,000". I asked him how proud he was to have risen to the lofty heights of being apprentice scammer of the year. He then replied he wasn't the scammer and then he quickly hung up. LOL

These people are saying that they are from EBay and that you have ordered an item from a certain Company and there is suspicious activity on your account. They then ask you to select a number 1 to 4 to connect to an operator. DO NOT SELECT A NUMBER and allow the call to finish then just hang up.

If you call the number back a person answer and says Hello EBay. This is NOT Ebay

Similar to the above, disregard these calls they leave a recorded voicemail saying they’ll process an order for $300 unless you call them. It’s a scam.
