Called but left no message, flagged as survey by Hiya app

My phone flagged the number as a telemarketer then as 'Think Conveyancing Wangaratta'.

I did not answer as I do not even live in VIC and have no dealings with this company.

Possibly a number highjacking and a spam caller. I have blocked the number anyway.

This number called mid-morning and asked for me by name, claiming to be from Roy Morgan (market researchers) and conducting research on how COVID has affected people with work, etc. But after a couple of questions I interrupted to ask how my information was going to be used and I did not want to continue, as I wanted to know how they got my number (I'm on the Do Not Call Register, and I have never engaged with anything from this company).

I asked for all information they have about me and where they got my details. The first response was polite and agreeable, and after pressing some more she disconnected the call. I immediately contacted Roy Morgan using their website's contact form requesting all information about me, to which they replied by asking what the number the caller was using. The Roy Morgan rep gave me the number it should have been - very different. Roy Morgan also stated that they only call people after 4.00 p.m.

Number not known to me so didn't answer it. Too many scammers/spoofers out there!

Caller: Chinese scammer.

Wants access to all your digital assets and bank accounts. Absolutely disgusting this is allowed in Australia. All these must be instantly blocked and removed from our comms lines.

Wanted to speak to partner and would not leave a message. When you ring back it dials busy. A bit suspicious? ?

received a message only claiming missed call but left caller left no message.As I live in Qld suspected it to be a scam call and didn't call back

Rang on my phone asking to speak to my young daughter and asking for her by name. When I started to question the caller (Mr Perez) he hung up.

Yep, just had a call from this number, claiming to be from Roy Morgan researched, asked if I was retired or working, asked if I was manager, asked industry type, ask what company I worked for, and when I didn't respond, they grumpily said, have a nice day and hung up on me. To this day, with the technology we have, I still don't know why Telstra can't block outgoing calls from these places

Didn't answer, checked the number here and it came up as Think Conveyancing Wangaratta.
I have no dealings with Think Conveyancing. I don't live in Victoria. Seems suspicious to me.
