Eventually tracked the spoofed number back to its origin protocol, and wouldn't ya know it... a short term lease in an office building in the biggest technology precinct in Kolkata, India. Let the games begin!!!😈😉😆

Mother F*****r! Someone called me from (03) 4513 5275 and I accidentally picked up, but they hanged up. Now they know that my number is active.

I can't take much more of this. I never answer these calls, ever. I sometimes pick up the phone and leave the line open for at least an hour. I block the numbers, or as many as my obviously outdated phone allows me to. But these lowlifes are relentless: new numbers call all the time, every day, from 9am until well into the evening. It's a plague that is driving innocent people to distraction in their own homes - and, what is worse, scamming them.
Please do not EVER answer calls from unknown numbers. Block them if you can. Report them to Scam Watch. Maybe if enough people lodge reports, the telcos will be forced to take some sort of action to try to put a stop to this. There MUST be something tech gurus can do to distinguish scam calls from legitimate ones.

Repeated calls from this number, didn’t answer the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, time but the 4th time I’d had enough & answered with the sweetest voice & then blew a whistle down the line!!! Oh dear the call disconnected what a shame!!! Blocked the number yet again, wake up telcos the phone lines are your infrastructure to which consumers pay a service to hence your responsibility!!!

Very interesting - how does one do this - 'Eventually tracked the spoofed number back to its origin protocol, and wouldn't ya know it... a short term lease in an office building in the biggest technology precinct in Kolkata, India'.

This call was blocked by True Caller as a Spammer with a huge number of spam reports. They are clearly using a protocol to access a number in Warnambool in Victoria.
