I was just called now & told I have two options, pay some "Cash" into an ATO account or go to Jail. When I asked what details he had of mine, he said he was under no obligation to give me this. Do you know this is serious & you will be getting arrested with in the hour? Such a huge scam, that really shook me up. One the ATO always confirm you are who they should be talking to & two they like to trace everything & would never ask for cash.

Left a message on my answering machine, said I was about to be arrested for tax evasion and I need to call this number. Said his name was Jason O'Connor from ATO

....left a message I should call back, ATO, police & jail..... What an a**hole....

Bunch of time wasting morons. I've had around 3 calls from them in the last 4 months, F off!

A message was left on my answering machine to say it was Jason O'Connor (american accent) from the ATO and that I was being pursued for Tax Evasion. He asked I return his call on (03) 4410 3037. He used 'American terms' like district and precinct. His manner was relaxed and subtle, but reiterated to return his call. I did not. The ATO always confirms you are who they should be talking to & would always contact you via mail.

Jason Oconnor has now hit Victoria. Just had a message on my answering machine from him! Same story he is claiming to be from the ATO and to call him back asap before I was arrested for tax evasion. Nice try!

Jason O'Connor is at it again. Just received a call - he says he is from the ATO and they were going to arrest me. He actually left a message on my answering machine. Yeah sure.

got a call off these clowns (indians) stating that i was guilty of tax evasion & that the police would be coming around to arrest me...... i replied; "bring it on" & then i hung up !

Yes same thing as below. Purporting to be with the ATO threatening us with an arrest warrant if we didnt ring back.
