Said was from PayPal wanting to clarify withdrawal of $799 - definitely a scam

i never answer phone number not in my list, so it was blocked. I always check the number on this site AND I found 16 complaints to this number. Good job done by this site !!

Phone indicated the number was in Ballarat. Don't know anyone there. As I don't answer calls from an unknown number, I didn't answer. Surprise surprise. No message was left. I blocked the number.

Claimed to be Telstra offering 50% discount. Ha ha.

Called saying that they are trying to sell solar panels, I played along just to see where it was going and they said they were going to come over the next day to discuss solar paneling and prices, they had thick Indian accents and one said his name was jimmy then he put me over to his “solar panel expert” and I didn’t catch his name due to his accent.

The number was from Victoria and I don’t know anyone from there.

When they told me they were coming over they got me to confirm an address they had( which was obviously incorrect) but I’m not sure if they have gotten information with numbers and addresses or if they were just trying to get me to say my address.

I cussed them out at the end of the call and hung up

Call came from this number. Didn't answer as I know nobody in Ballarat. Glad I decided to Google the number and found this. Thank you all for your comments. Will now be blocking.

Said she was from telstra and wanted to reward me for being a good customer. When I asked her if she knew my name she said quoted the name I use on social media, not my legal name, so I told them better luck next time

I do not answer calls from numbers I do not know. I figure that if it is important, they will leave a message. No message left and after reading the above comments, I am glad I did not answer. Number is now blocked.

Caller ID showed to be from a line in Ballarat. I don't know anyone from there, neither was I anticipating a call from there/that line. Either way, there was no voice mail or message left.
Suspected scam. Ignored.

Called saying she was from Telstra and I needed to get into my device that I was connected to as other people were using my internet. I said I don't use Telstra. She was very aggressive and ended up handing up on me when I challenged her on what she was stating as fact.

Had a called today from this number, didn't recognised the number so didn't pick up. No message left.

Caller: A group of asians, most likely Indian.

They had apparently said that I am charged $850. Absolute BS, since I never used Amazon. Surprise surprise, no voicemail. Blocked this number. Apparently, this number is at Bakery Hill VIC, and I never knew there before. Now, when I tried calling back to see what would happen, it just said that the number is out of service.

Seems like this is a continuing scam. I had same experience today; I don't answer unknown numbers; no message left; blocked

Called stating she was from MasterCard. I then replied you have a very frightened voice and someone is controlling you and they hung up. Obviously I a scam trying to scam, innocent people do not answer, block block block
