Caller: (03) 4334 1938 An Indian male called me today on my mobile, purporting to be from Telstra Billing department. Phone displayed showed Bakery Hill VIC which is an area of Ballarat. Was offering me 50% loyalty discount on my mobile plan. He knew my name, although was pronouncing the surname diabolically. I told him I didn't want a discount but stayed on the call to see where he will go with that. He was pushy for sure. I am sure he sensed I am onto him, so he tried to gain some cred by stating my email address. I don't know where he got these details, but I didn't confirm it to be my email. He then invited me to one of the Telstra shops. Yeah, right! When I told him a few times I didn't want any further contact from him and was not going to accept any discount offers through cold calling, he then said he would 'cancel the offer in their system' but needed to send me a text message to do that. In it he said would be a one-time code which he wanted me to read back to him. I told him not to send me any texts or codes. He then said he already had. But he didn't because I didn't receive it, and so I know he is a lying scammer. I then hung up.

Caller: Scammer Indian male claiming to be from NBN. Saying that there is work going on in the area and that there will be disruptions to my internet and wanting to know how many lights were currently on my modem. I was suspicious from the beginning because there was time deay before he even spoke which usually indicates overseas scammer. As soon as I said how do I know you're from NBN and not a scammer he then hung up. I too phoned the number back and it said you have reached diamond Plaza and put me in a queue. I then hung up and blocked a number.
