I didn't answer, I don't know the number and they didn't leave a message.

It's a recorded message. I had missed the call so this was on my voicemail and the first part of the recording was cut off. It says there was an eBay charge and a foreign transfer of $1300. Then it says to press 1 if I did not authorise the charges and I will be connected to a "Visa Department Representative". I assume it started off with something like, "Your Visa card has two charges ..."

(Pause) "This is Olivia from Commonwealth Bank, someone is trying to do $1800 transaction on your account..." click! I hung up.

Caller: Unknown business name

Recorded message about pending transaction press #s to stop, refund or speak to a staff member. Call ended when no numbers pressed within 10 seconds just before I hung up!

Caller: Guy saying he was from Ebay

Said that an eBay account was created using my phone number and that they purchased a $299 gift card. Then asked if I wanted to cancel the transaction. Then went on to ask me what sort of phone I was using… gave him all wrong details. We strung him along on loud speaker for all my mates to hear for about 10 minutes then we told him where to go and we all laughed down the phone. Better luck next time Raj.

The location comes up as Bakery Hill, near Bendigo (Vic); I have friends who live near there, so last time I answered. I haven't this time – it's scammers.
