I have about 5 calls from “Newtown” every day!!! Each time the phone number is slightly different so blocking this number doesn’t help the ringing stop!! I’m so sick of it!

After the first sales pitch I told them I didn't drink alcohol.
2nd round offered discounts. Told them I was an alcoholic.
Their reply was to go another round of "discounts" and was I sure I didn't want to buy their now $9 wine.
My reply: are you kidding me, offering an alcoholic heavily discounted wine????
SCAMMERS

A guy with an Asian accent rang and said my Telstra Internet had been compromised. I listened for a bit to see where he was going with the conversation. I asked him where he was ringing from and he said Melbourne. I said that the number was a Perth number and he gave me a bullsh*t response. Then I lost it and started swearing at him and saying he was a scammer. He told me to shut up and hung up on me. These people MUST be stopped!!

Recording asked me questions - pretending to be a real person on the phone

Caller: 'James' from the Wine Group.

Autodialled call that hangs up if you don't speak. I called back and told them to stop calling me to which they replied "oh of course, but our wine is 80% off, are you sure you aren't interested?". They call once day from different 4206 numbers which I suspect to be spoofed.

I called them back (from a different number) and they were up front about being "the Wine Group". He wanted to know the number of the missed call and I told him not to bother I would just block the number.

Today again blocked number, it was a 98 number last time. this needs to be stopped. Reported the first call to the ACCC as they try and get responses to questions asked

Claimed I entered my phone number into an affiliate website and i can not get access to this 80% of wine. I got to get my point across and he hung up. Guy was polite but defs cold call and number isn’t in service when you call back
