This number in Morwell has called me 13 x times in the last week. It doesn't leave a message and I suspect its a scam.

It is illegal for a Debt Collector or Creditor to contact you more than 3 times a week. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AND REPORT THEM TO THE FINANCE OMBUDSMAN. It ruins their Provider credit score.

The same thing happened to me. I finally answered because I did make a payment and they were still calling.

ITS ALL AUTOMATED. so no need to speak to anyone lol

But far out! They are borderline harassing with calls every hour!

BANK OF MELBOURNE- hey guys. This is bank of Melbourne calling for payments. The incessant phone calls every single day are borderline harassment!! Every hour- surely should be illegals. I got a text message as I forgot a monthly payment- so paid it the next day that was overdue. And they still continue to call and call and call!!! BUT A HEADS UP- ITS AUTOMATED. So you can answer - follow the prompts- and the phone calls will finally Fkn stop!!

This is Bank Of Melbourne calling. Not a scam. But they are serial nuisance callers. They call every hour on the hour for days on end.
My payment was overdue. I made one. Obviously hasn’t gone through on their end yet.
But they do call non stop!!! Then text. Lol then call again every hour.

I contacted my bank and it was not from them and they recommended reporting to Scam Watch.

Recorded voice message "This is an important call from the Bank of Melbourne for Daniel Short, please press any key... " The recorded message is probably genuine, or copied from a genuine Bank of Melbourne recorded message. I have received series of these calls from time to time, probably since about 2018. When I report the scam to the ACCC the series stops after a few days. It comes back again usually months later.

Recorded message - female voice - "Good morning/afternoon, this is an important message for Daniel Short from the Bank of Melbourne ... press any key to continue ..." If no key is pressed the caller hangs up. Receiving 6-10 calls daily since 18/11/2019 it's a real NUISANCE!! Most times caller ID displayed as Private number, on a few occasions caller ID displayed is 03 41091383.

I called back the number (03) 4109 1383 and reached vm that said I reached Bank of Melbourne

rang my mobile and then my home no.ignored call and they did not leave a message
