Liz: Not sure if they're calling your mobile or landline, but on my landline I have a Panasonic answering machine that can block a whole range of numbers in one hit (I never receive calls from Victoria, so as of today I now have the entire 03 range blocked). My handsets don't even ring once when they call, it's just immediately blocked. Someone on here might be able to tell you if there are mobiles that have the same feature.

I also keep getting calls from this number (or a variation of) If you pick up the phone and don't talk, they will hang up. You can then block this number and cross your fingers

Great advice. It seems that Telstra or the 'do not call' register is not effective in stopping this constant harassment. I have also taken to not answering my phone. I used to answer years ago when we first were plagued with scammers and someone actually spoke and I would say "hang on a second" then go take my shower, or make my cuppa and get back to my tv etc. So they would know that it was a waste of time calling my number but now it means nothing as someone else is calling minutes later. It is indeed a plague. I hope someone comes up with a block solution soon. Meantime I just don't answer my landline any more.

Relentless lowlife scammers. They will not stop attempting to call me although the number's been blocked for some time and it's quite obvious that I'm never going to answer. It's nothing but harassment.

Call everyday never leave a msg. Assume it's scam and just annoying telemarketer

This number called saying they are from the Kindness project. I looked it up and they have been disbarred as a charity. They are a scam organisation trying it on. I have reported them to the Charity organisation that deals with all charities. Waiting to hear back from them to see what they have to say. Fortunately my phone blocks any calls from this and other numbers that they use. Other numbers are 9941, 9659, 9943. Just blow a whistle into the phone when you see this number come up??????

Someone in Bairnsdale Vic rings me once or twice a day from a range of similar phone numbers: (03) 4108 9942, ... 9941, ... 9659, etc. I don't bother to pick up mostly, if you do, they hang up straight away.

Getting calls from this number around 3 times per day. Incompetent scammer, just talks over our answering machine then hangs up, and up until recently hasn't left a message. Driving us nuts!

I've had several calls from this number always no talking no message, sounds like an auto operator just dialing anyone until the a call center operator is free to speak. Saves them time but wastes ours. also same from (03) 4108 9659.

Am on the Dont Call list, but they somehow get thru, no message, just pestering! MAKE THEM STOP, PLEASE!!!

Every day I have missed calls from this number as well as (03) 4108 9940 and (03) 4108 9941. Very annoying. I've blocked them but I still get notifications that a blocked number tried to call and no voicemail was left.

Calls from this number in Bendigo 3 times a day- never leave a message!

I have never answered a call from this number but that doesn't deter them. I've just blocked the number after yet another attempt at calling me - by someone who doesn't even speak.

A second call from these scamming pests. They don't bother to leave a message but keep calling as if they're sure the result will be different next time. It won't be.
