Caller: Charity Prime

Caller claimed to be in the Philipines working for CHARITY PRIME and organisation that collects your personal data (if you give it to them) and then purportedly gives it to charities so they can contact you to see if you donate. He couldnt answer a range of basic questions, quoted a Website for Charity Prime that didnt exist (www.dataoutsource.com), and didnt know anything about the charities he supposedly was assisting, or how the charity system works in Australia,. My revenge was to keep him on the phone for 15 minutes while giving spurious information as a joke!

Caller: Scammers

The problem is the scammers have sophisticated dialers that can take over a legit phone number and use it to scam. That’s why when people call the number back they get a legitimate business and the business hasnt called them. They are doing what is called spoofing the phone number. They are using other peoples legit phone numbers to do their scam. So it’s not anything to do with phone companies handing out phone lines to scammers.

Said the call was from Bairnsdale (Vic). When I answered there was no sound and then the call was disconnected.

Will these painfully annoying calls ever Stop? Can't the phone companies stop assigning numbers by checking credentials?

Phone identified this call at 7.45pm on a Tuesday evening, as coming from Bairnsdale. I set my Google screening service onto it and it lasted not even to the end of the first sentence. Spammer

No message left, I assume another scammer. Number blocked.

Seriously people the telcos have these numbers we've complained so many times and guess what the telcos can disconnect these scammers

Missed call. No details left. As above, noted the caller was from Bairnsdale Victoria.

Calls from this number still doing the rounds. Rang just me now. As it is not a known contact I didn't answer. No message left.

Caller: Charity Prime Australia

These people call from numerous numbers starting with 03 4100...... we are a drug and alcohol counselling service, so cannot block. Got a call at 11.43am, I stated who we are, then got a call at 11.46am from same number. We get at least 6 calls per week from the Charity group

Missed call from unknown number. No message left. Presume spam, blocked.

This number called me and my phone identified it as a caller from Bairnsdale, Victoria. I don’t know anybody from this area so I did not answer. Caller left no message. I have received calls from similar numbers before and they have been scams every time.
