Same here but I didn't call back because there was a message with an attachment as well. I listened to it and was told to stay on the line to complete the call. I am guessing in my case it may have been Optus or Origin chasing a overdue bill.

Why don't they leave a voice mail???

Is there cash and profit so poor they need to call 3-5 times per day?

Double check with Origin customer service and the answer is true origin phone call will have New South Wales showing up on the caller's phone number.

Iv had this number calling me non stop like half a dozen times per day when iv already paid & put the remainder on a payment plan due to financial hardship reasons at the moment & this number still keeps calling yet leaving no voicemail or anything & has Victoria area code but saying it’s coming from either Sydney or nsw each time. I think it’s some form of scam I’ll find out soon enough I’ll call the utility providers directly and get them to verify if it has been them or not. I feel bad for the elderly or non tech savvy tbh they’d be so overwhelmed & stressed about these types of calls

Number has a Victorian area code but says from South Australia. Rung 3 times today no message left on any occasion

Caller: Origin Energy (allegedly)

Female voice announced Origin Energy and to press 1 to continue. I'd already received emails and text advice that a bill was to be direct debited on the 18th - different phone number.
This can only be a scam/hack attempt.

Robot woman, claiming to be an energy company, telling me to press 1 about something. If they have something to notify me about, they can do that. As if I'm going to press 1 when some scammer calls me and tells me to.

Caller: Recorded robot message states it is origin energy

Tells me to press 1 and hangs up if I don't. I have hung up twice after hearing the auto message, the third time I waited to see if it was legit however it hung on me.

Non stop calls for a paid bill. 3rd one today, even though I have notified payment made. Clearly desperate for money before the seasonal Christmas lag in bill payments across the general population. Dreadful company to deal with in all ways.

caller id says number is located in nsw but has a 03 area code didnt answer went to vm, silence - 3 calls today
