Scam company said they were calling from 'the accident helpline'. They ring people and say 'we are calling you about the accident you had in the last 3 months' and try to extort money/information from you

Rang me at 4.30 pm Saturday, just as the league semi final started. Jibbering away at great speed with a foreign accent. I told him to stop calling me and to go and have sex with himself.

Said they are from the accident help line. I asked what that means and the lady kept saying it was regarding my accident (of which i obviously haven't had one). I asked couple of times what accident, her only answer is "your accident". In the end i said the only only accident i've had recently is answering your call and hung up on her. SCAM for sure.

I've received a call from this number,(and others). Yes the car accident scam - hoping to extort. Always a south Asian accent and strange that he/they have used the same number many times. Must be a simple operation which hasn't tapped into the annoying technology of rogue marketers/surveys with their computer dialling with randomised call origin numbers.

This number called me today and said they were from the Accident Helpline. They called last week from (02) 9876 7183 also at which time I asked them not to call again. A male said - You had an accident some while back? I replied, yes, how about that? He said, can you tell me when you had the accident? Me: Why don't you tell me since you seem to have all the information? He then screamed at me, "NO, YOU TELL ME!" I didn't answer and he hung up. Wow, that got agressive quickly. Maybe enough people are becoming wiser to their scam and are just taking them all for a ride each time they call.

Call at 6.32 p.m., 31/8. They had my first name (which I don't use anyway). It was regarding an accident that I have had. That was news to me. (Vehicles weren't mentioned.) Apparently this accident happened during the past year.

SCAM "you have been in a recent car accident blah blah blah". Very thick foreign accent, hard to understand. When I started questioning who he was, he hung up.
