In broken English caller claimed to represent TPG and then tried to hitch me up to NBN. Lots of noise in the background. I said I would not take the call and hung up. Probably genuine but total sh*t for the corporate image. Caller: TPG
TPG calling to confirm NBN installation at new commercial premises
They have called 5 times in 3 days. Phone rings 3 times and stops. Really annoying.... Caller ID comes up as Orchard Human Resources. Caller: TPG
I connected with TPG NBN and they wanted to know if I was going to use the home phone line. Not a bad call, just TPG following up with the installation of my nbn
Caller: (02) 9850 0800
Received a call from this number. They claimed to be TPG, but the phone connection quality was very bad. They then asked for my name, address and date of birth, and when I said "I am not providing that" They basically said "You have to call us, and hung up without delay."
Is it bad TPG service or a scammer. The accent was Indian, but that can be someone local, a legit call centre or a scammer.
Caller: EVER SINGLE DAY
I WISHED THEY WOULD STOP CALLING ME... i HAVE ALREADY TOLD THEM I AM NOT INTERESTED IN THE CURRENT PROMOTION FTTB NBN DEAL. JUST STOP CALLING ME!!!
Clearly SPAM Caller: TPG
TPG trying to save NBN

TPG calling to ensure a new business service was active. The call was legitimate.
It's safe it's the engineer calling back from TPG on a tech issue I had
Caller: (02) 9850 0800
My phone identified caller as UT 65 so I ignored it. Seconds later received SMS from TPG regarding switching from ADSL to NBN
it is the phone techniction department following up on a service. I had my service drop out, due to a loose wire. this is the number they message me from before and after to make an appointment and follow up. TPG gave me the reference number. I think the technician works for all different telcos Caller: (02) 9850 0800
Called back. Answered with a TPG Telecom she asked for my name and address. She is a scammer!
Exactly, I called them, so there's no drama. No SCAM, just TPG
Also in addition to my previous comment, due to COVID many call centre personnel are now working from home. Some of the Asian countries are in far worse condition than we are in Australia. So it's not unusual at the moment to hear children in the background, barking dogs, or as I heard last week a rooster, and then a cat meowing very nearby. No, it's not "professional" but I'd rather they were safe working at home than going into a call centre. Given these people a break - they're doing their best under scary conditions. Many of them will have lost family or friends but are still trying to earn a living and support their families.
