Caller: NAB on behalf of Coles MasterCard

I have received at least three missed calls from this number in the past week. I have an account with Coles MasterCard, and I have read that it was recently taken over by NAB. The fact that most people on this page agree that this is who they claim to be tells me that in fact it is not a scam at all, but is in fact a legitimate marketing call. I think they are offering a balance transfer with 0% interest and no charges for 3 months.

I've reported plenty of spam numbers here, which I ate with a passion. But this is a legit call--others stating scam are wrong. I had a 5 min conversation with them, they know my details and it was in relation to one of their low interest cash advance offers.

I'm no big fan of NAB, citi, coles or any other big fiat usury enterprise, who exist somewhere below diseases of amoeba in their placement on the ethical spectrum of life. I'm just putting this here for the public info.

Called them back after missing call. Automated voice saying from Coles Financial Services, and that it’s not an urgent matter and we’ll try again later.

I had just spent money on a musical last night on the card and purchased things on the internet with the card as well. More than likely a scam.

I know they have been taken over by NA recently. People here have said they are getting Phillipino call centre people on the other end and saying they’re from NAB, with very thick accents. The Australian NAB call centre for account information is based in Rhodes near Sydney Olympic Park, and not in the Phillipines. I know this as I have two friends that work there.

It’s definitely a scam number calling everyone…..

Male with nasaly voice saying he was from sydney calling from national australia bank wanting suburb for security purposes but knows my first name. I hung up

Really appreciate the mostly thoughtful answers from others who have been called by these telemarketers. I always pay my credit card on time but do leave it until 48 before it is due. Almost as soon as I have paid been inevitably receive an offer to go on a plan. Thanks for this info. It was to my mobile and I will now block future calls.

I would get so many missed calls from this number. When I called back there was an automated message stating it was from Coles Mastercard, so I decided to call the verified Coles Mastercard customer service to check if it was urgent. The customer service agent said they do not operate with this number and said it might be a scam.

When I answered, a recording said they did not have time to take MY call! They called ME!

Definately a scam... block no.
I'm never taking calls from unknown no.s again... usually a scam ... if not leave a message !!

Caller: Unfamiliar number

This number has called me twice this week, I didnt answer either calls, always suspect a scam call when no message left on voicemail. Reading others comments that they have found it to be assuming to be from Coles Mastercard, I have a card but have no reason for them to be calling. For those who are saying they should send an email instead, dont rely on those either now as I have come across quite a few that look so very realistic but with one small anomaly

LOL if you work for Nab - it's NAB. If you work for Coles then it's Coles. They are completely separate entities, one does not call on behalf of the other. Are you one of the spam callers, considering you're actually in Denmark, not Australia?

As said, coles credit card recently aquired by NAB. The usual standard of exec is to get their capital back is to sell, sell, sell. Offer services/products nobody needs, shareholders demand bigger profits next financal year.
