Caller: Some lady I could hardly understand.

I've missed this number 4 times within the past 2 weeks and decided to answer it. Blah, blah, blah, transfer your Citibank balance into a NAB payment plan. Killing her with kindness I said "Stop. I am not changing anything. My husband does all of the finances, thank you SO MUCH for calling and HAVE A GREAT DAY!!! (: Then hung up on her face.

Boom! 3 hours later she calls back. I said: I understand this is a recorded call... I yelled: STOP CALLING ME, STOP CALLING ME, STOP CALLING ME - else I will lose my job. END CALL. Blocked. Will miss all the excitement she added to my day.

Came up as a spam number on the mobile. Appeared to be "offering me some opportunities" with my credit card. Asked for security info and I hung up.

Legitimate contact by NAB who licences the Citibank brand for their credit card, however it was a marketing call from a Filipino call centre, trying to spruik their instalment plans.

Same - I have many calls from this number and no message left - the one time I answered it, they knew my name. I do have a citibank card.
I called CitiBank directly - no record of citi calling me.

They call me nearly every day, they used to say who they were, now it’s just silent on the line and then either day or I hang up. It is very frustrating. Reading all the comments above I now realise it’s CitiBank and have blocked the number. Hopefully no more calls.

I've had a Citi account for many years and switched off the website-controlled contacting permissions years ago. NAB bought the Citi Australia business last year and is now proceeding to migrate the Citi accounts to the NAB platform. It sent letters by snail recently that, amongst many things, asked customers to allow contact from Citi by multiple means (phone, email, SMS) in order to ensure a smooth transition. Unfortunately, Citi/NAB has abused the my trust and simply recommenced the heavy-handed, intrusive marketing tactics for selling loans etc that I abhorred in the past. Shame Citi Shame.
