Caller: American Express

I've got an application half completed, I was expecting their call, it is definitely American Express.

Called me, I answered but they didn't respond.

This is a genuine number. I applied for a credit card from American Express, and they were following up.

Legitimate but why they don’t leave voicemail I’m not sure. I don’t pick up any number I don’t know and assume scammer if no voicemail these days!

Claimed they were from American Express but asked ME to confirm my identify. A bit suss on an unsolicited call. They later emailed me, so I think this is genuinely Amex.

Scam! I called American express. I never started a application. Also the comments stating its legitimate are also scammers.

SCAM! I have nothing to do with Amex and yet here they are calling?

Also, these other comments purporting to claim they that they are… clearly con jobs too. Proceed with caution ⚠️

unfortunate he sounded like a scammer. I’d applied the day before and he was following up. I said I’d call back (just to be sure it wasn’t a scammer) so he gave me the 1300 number. I checked it and called the number and sure enough, it’s legit AMEX. nothing to worry about.

SCAM! Who calls from Mastercard and VISA?? Not even AmEx like most of these.

They said they are from pay pal, seems a scam

I received this call saying it was Amex but to be honest it SOUNDED totally DODGY - so I hung up then opened my Amex app and used the chat feature to ask if it was really them and it was AMEX LEGIT! I apologized for hanging up but said I’m extra careful with security and if the same thing happens again I will do the same thing - give them NO INFO and reach out via the app as the Amex chat is excellent and instant human to confirm legit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amex chat !

Missed Call. Looked up Australian American Express website- They use 1800 and 1300 card specific contact numbers only

I received a call from Amex regarding my pending application. He asked me few questions to approve the application, and I also received a confirmation email at the same time when he said its approved now.

SCAM!! Be aware..

I believe it's AMEX, but using a call centre where the operators don't understand the questions they're asking

Caller: Rude Amex

Amex caller from a building near Raj River India. Rude and hung up then I receive an email from them advising to call back in 1300 number.

Caller: AMERICAN EXPRESS

Was a legitimate call for me, they were simply checking a large payment that went through to ensure it was me that made the payment; however, I didn't provide any personal details.
