Caller: Australian Red Cross The constant phone calls asking for donations is the reason why I won't donate. When I'm ready to donate I will, on my terms. Please stop calling.

This is ridiculous - to not donate because of a phone call when it is so badly needed.
There is an option on iphone (not sure about android) to ignore all calls that are not a known contact or emergency services. I used it for a bit but found it a little annoying cause i was having tradies quoting etc at the time, but it's always an option.

If you are a regular blood donor you can login and change your preference online and take phone off your communication preferences.

Caller: Red Cross I missed the call and then called them back. They were calling to see if I would like to donate again, which I happily made an appointment. They are not spam calling, and donating saves people lives. I can’t believe the whinges on here!!!

Caller: Australian Red Cross The people saying they won’t donate because they are called are complete AHs! They don’t take our blood for “fun”! It LITERALLY SAVES LIVES! What a pathetically babyish attitude “ooh they’re annoying so I won’t donate life-giving blood” DONATE MORE and you won’t get called as much!

Caller: Red Cross Every time I pick up there is complete silence on the other end. They call almost every few days at this stage. It’s getting very annoying.

Caller: Caller: Australian Red Cross Don't think their system works very well, I donate every 3 months but still get random calls from them asking to donate....I didn't mind at first but it gets annoying after it has continued for several months.

Caller: Red Cross Lifeblood I don't answer calls from people or numbers i don't know , figuring if they're genuine they'll leave a message. As Red Cross Lifeblood is genuine and i am a donor i wonder why they didn't leave a message. Funnily enough i got an email from them yesterday and i replied to it but it seems unlikely the email and the call are linked seeing other people are getting calls too.

Agree.
I just think they should have a better opt-out of call tracking system. The nurse said she'll put me on the no donate list when I told her I was planning to get pregnant. Yet I still get calls from them a few months later when I was heavily pregnant. I don't feel annoyed by it, but rather think it's a waste of time and resources for them to try to reach me.

I like to donate blood once a year but they start calling after 6 months only to get me to donate more blood. I did it once after 6 months and later realised in my blood test that I had lost too much iron. I am scared to donate again that I will affect my health. I will donate again in future but only when I am ready.

Caller: Australian Red Cross Aussie Red Cross — I’m a frequent donor but I have told them 3 calls in a row that I can no longer donate due to a life threatening heart condition. Each time they have told me they’ll take me off the list and not call me again, but a week later I’ll get another call. They don’t seem to understand that I’m sick and cannot donate. They do not take you off the call list when they say they will.
