Caller: Salvation Army

Caller said he was from the Salvation Army and wanted me to donate to the red shield appeal over the phone.

Did not leave a message - Usually means a telemarketer or a scam. Surprised telemarketers have not worked out most people no longer answer unknown numbers or, if they do, most are not silly enough to give money over the phone!!

After a search it appears to be the Salvo's.

Charities harass and cheat donors by charging double or assuming one off payments are every month? They do not keep private details secure and hand them over to hackers. Check raffle tickets and bank statements are correct and if there is a problem getting a refund go to fair trade…

Don’t know what canter is but I’m gonna say a scam

Have called me twice in last two days and didn't leave a message. On closer investigation its appears to be Apple Marketing Group calling on behalf of Oxfam in their current Oct - Dec 2024 fundraising campaign. I already donate on a monthly basis to Oxfam and have done for years, and don't intend increasing my donation, so I won't be answering!!

Have tried calling four times over two days. Never leave a message. I have blocked and reported as a scam after each call, yet they keep coming.

A recorded voice saying "this is an ABC widget" then I hung up. No idea what it was about.
