Caller: Medical Alarm Company

Just received a call from this number at 3:47am. After I googled it, they'd left a message to say that my mum had triggered the emergency alarm in her room at her retirement village, and was taken to hospital. I am listed as her next kin. Legit caller - Not a scam. I hope this comment helps someone else!!

The phone number calls and they never leave voicemail (message), when it goes unanswered!

That’s always a red flag 🚩 in my book!?

Caller: It is a medical alert company (ins Lifeguard)

I missed the call and no message was left (seems to be a glitch in either their or my phone system). However, due to a medical event a couple of hours before, and thinking the number was possibly associated with that incident, I returned the call. They are indeed the medical alert company and use that number to call friends or relatives on the client's emergency contact list. So if you receive a call from this number, please answer - one of your relatives may be in trouble.

Reluctantly answered after 3rd ring…….as usual nothing but the sound of silence!!

It’s scam to talk about online investments, I got the call because previous comments said that was emergency number. But it’s actually SCAM.

Received a message from missed call at 1am to advise Mum had a fall and had been admitted to hospital. I rang the hospital and Mum is stable. It is legitimate call service.

I missed the call but it was from a medical emergency place. I had called an ambulance for my husband and I am his first emergency contact. It is a legitimate company.

This number rang twice @ 2am. I do not know them

I am in a retirement village and had to call the emergency help line provided by my retirement village twice in the last few days to get an ambulance. There have been problems since because I have long since disconnected my landline number and changed my mobile number. I have advised the village but the message is either not going there as they say it has been sent, or at the other end they are not receiving the information, or not acting on it, so its been very frustrating. I had a call from that number but either didn’t hear the call or didn’t answer because I don’t know the number and I don’t answer unknown numbers. I don’t know which it was. But my “next of kin” was called because I didn’t answer. Admin at my retirement village is on holiday until next week when I will be back to sort it out - again . I’m really quite annoyed I have to do this 😤

Claimed to be calling about a medical alarm being triggered by an estranged relative we haven't spoken to in years. Relative (who married into our family 4 years ago) is well known to Police Detectives with a career of lying / fraud / scamming. Told whoever they were to remove my phone number. Can't google find any further info. Very weird call.

Comes up as potential spam.
