Caller: A man Got a call from this number. They called and said that they are from Browns Plains Private Hospital. I use to live on Browns Plains and there is no Private Hospital there. I told him that and he kept repeating an invoice number saying I have funds needing to be returned to me that were made on the 03/09/2020. I told him no I didn't make any payments and Medicare has my details. He just repeated the same thing again. I told him there's no hospital and then he said "I have your details here, your invoice, your birthdate, I just need your email address." And I said "why do you have my details" and the he just repeated himself again. Lol eventually he stopped and said okay ma'am have a nice day. And hung up. Thank the heavens. 2nd time he has called me now.

I got this call this morning and the lady who called was very rude on the phone and was asking me for payments but she was refusing to explain me what’s it was about and when I asked to send me to my email she said no because it would be easier through the phone.

Caller: Laverty Pathology My wife got repeated text messages from "Pathology" thay she owes them $172 dollars for the pahology test done at the request of Centre for Digestive Clinic in Five Dock.
She was a Filipino lady and she knew my wife's personal details.
Scary that some of our personal information is leaked to the scammers.
I have had some payments paid like this incident a few years ago when I was in hurry and was scammed back then.
But not on this occasion.
We should be all careful with this type of call.

Caller: A lady with Asian/philipino accent Received call on my mobile (tagged as 'Potential Fraud') claiming I owed $100+ for a pathology test done by Dorovich. She knew my date of procedure, name of surgeon, my address, my mobile. I asked for invoice and she wanted my email. I refused and she said would mail it and suspend debt collection for 30 days. I told her to get stuffed. Definitely a scam but it's a worry that my information has been leaked to these people which adds to their credibility. Where has my medical information come from?

The dates the caller referred to was when I was in hospital recovering after a surgery. Kept talking about an invoice for $300+ Asked her to send the invoice...nothing yet. Looks like this number is known to make medical related scams

Caller: (02) 9157 8981 Had tests done at a Dorevitch facility — smooth process, no charges due to private health insurance coverage.
Weeks later, began receiving calls referencing an invoice and asking to call 1800 350 046 (also listed on Dorevitch’s website).
Also received a text from “Pathology” (no number) with a link to a digital invoice on the Dorevitch website (requires postcode to access).
Everything appeared legitimate on the surface.
Called 1800 350 046 — connected to Healius, which owns or partners with Dorevitch.
Call center was operated by WNS, based in Eastwood, Quezon City, Philippines.
They requested to email a photo of the private health insurance membership card to resolve a detail discrepancy for claiming purposes.
To verify, personally visited the Dorevitch pathology facility to compare the digital invoice with original records. They advised contacting the private health insurance to resolve the issue via their claims/account team.
The private health insurance advised not to send the membership card to anyone — the issue lies between Dorevitch and the insurer, and no customer action is needed. Advised it’s inappropriate for third parties to contact customers for claim resolution.
Regardless of whether it's a scam or a dysfunctional process, followed the private health insurance's guidance and blocked the number.

Caller: Scam callers pretending to be "Dorevitch pathology" Scam callers from India have been pretending to be "Dorevitch pathology" They even have a slightly off-sounding recording of an Australian receptionist lady asking you to call them back.
The next call I got started with no one talking for a good bit, while the sound of call room chatter was heard in the background. Then they start stating that I have an unpaid pathology bill. We don't pay the pathologist, so I already know it's a scam. The pathologists never email, the callers never address you by name, they just say to call back. Watch out for these and be aware.

Caller: Allegedly QML Pathology Left a voicemail message. Voicemail was quick and sharp. Reference number left. NOTE: QML would never contact you directly via phone. Either only through your GP or via Mail. Be mindful with A.I Technology really taking off, they can generate and copy your voice with only 3 seconds of straight consistent audio. Never say the words "I Agree" or "Yes" when speaking with them.
