Caller (with N.Z. possible accent) claimed to be representing WestPac asking me who I was by name; when asked by me for their 'phone number the reply was "Sorry I do not have a direct contact number". My reply: "I do not entertain or respond to SCAM call." and then I 'hung up'.

Many numbers can't be called back, without them being a spammer or scammer. Many legit businesses use numbers for messaging or calling but want return calls to come through their advertised number to ensure you reach correct service. This number is a bank, calling legitimately.

Caller: Westpac I didn't answer the call, but per other messages here it was from Westpac. I then got an email from Westpac saying they tried to call me to ask if all was okay with my recent loan and if I had any questions. I did just finalise a loan with them, so yes, this number is legit from Westpac. Screenshot of their email after the call: https://i.imgur.com/QQ6EnSH.png

Caller: Pretending as Westpac Home Loans Indian scammers.
They've been calling my number for over 2 years. They say it is home loan settlement. LOL. Then they state name of random individuals.
Looks like phone numbers can be spoofed in Australia. Either that or Westpac is up to something. Wouldn't put is past them.
I've blocked the number. Never answered. That settlement must have an infinite deadline. Why are they even bothering? I guess there are people with lower IQs than these scammers who get up everyday, brush, pack their lunch and go to work at a scam center. Ducking low live Indians.

This number called me 6 times today. I note other people on this tread say that it is Westpac or St George, however when you call the number there is a message that says ... "we regret that the number you have dialled is temporarily out of service"... I have called it numerous times and get the same message.

I received (02) 9155 0000 a few times on different days in Singapore but was unwilling to pick up the phone for fear of fraud as our country senior folks were scammed badly for the past few years

Called at 2:15 am, 12:15am my local time. Went to message bank. Assume they thought “overseas” means should call at weird hours.

Caller: St George Bank I received a call from this phone number checking if 2 recent online transactions were valid as they were both flagged by their fraud team as unusual activity for my account. They were both my transactions & I was grateful for the check in. He didn't ask for any additional info from me. Legitimate phone number.

Caller: It would be st George but can't ring back. You can't ring this number back as most calls from this centre is routed back through this number. I got a call I couldn't answer because of work but this call was after a text message and a fraud transaction was blocked.
