Claiming to be calling on behalf of Telstra and Optus regarding the NBN in our area and the upgrade of our phone systems. Phone rings out when you call it back.
Rang, no message left His name was Gavin Davenport asking for one our employees. He was very obnoxious. Caller: Optus Head Office?
Says they are from Optus Corporate Head Office but I am suspicious. Wanted to arrange an appointment for a Optus representative to show how much money we could be saving by switching to them
Called asking for information re management, once asked for his name and where he was calling from - became rude. I explained that I can't divulge that information unless he at least gives me some basic information (i.e first name and company). He got frustrated and asked for my name?

called asking for the manager, when asked who it was he provided a name but when asked where he was calling from he hung up.
called again and when i told him the manager wasnt available he hung up streight away.

Claims to be calling in regards to our IT Network also stated it is a confident call for the owner only but wouldn't name the company

Insist they are in “your area” and want to know our telco spend and to come in and give an “obligation-free quote” - even if interested, the lady talked non-stop for six minutes without breathing and I lost interest.
