AI sounding male voice with an american accent asking when our business hours are, he claimed he worked for google maps and is updating the timings. I got the impression it was an AI as his tone changed mid sentence, kinda creepy.

Male young AI style voice with USaccent called the office phone and gave a quick spiel that he was from google maps/ads and calling to update system. Before I could ask his name, he played an automated message which said "Is this Business name of location road" which I responsed yes it is. He then came back on the line and said "that's it thank you" and hung up. All happened very fast. Tried to call the number back to notify he'd be reported. It rang but then transferred to a different line and rang through to an automated message with female voice "press 1 for english" then a short message with his voice and message tone. dodgy spam for sure.

After the amount of effort that it takes to verify your business on Google Maps(especially if you move locations. It seemed strange to me that, they would suddenly "call" me. Smells like scam to me

Call is not legit. This is a phishing scam. They will try from this number and from a private number. Google won't call from a local 02 number.

Robotic AI call that wasn't triggered initially by receptionist's greeting so she had to repeat her opening spiel. This triggered the pre-recorded response advising "This call is originating from Google Maps. We are updating your online business listing."

Could be legit but we have not had any required changes to our business' Google listing in over 6 years.

We received many missed calls from this number as we did not pick up. This time we want to find out who is on the other side. The Gents called himself from Goggle map (with American accent but ESL) asking us for updating the Business Hours. We give him our trading hours and that's it. It is a LEGIT Call.
