Caller: NSW RFS New South Wales Rural Fire Service fundraising telemarketing call. No thank you - how about you use the Millions you’ve already got from the bushfire appeal fundraiser Celeste Barber ran for you last year.

Caller: RFSA- volunteer firefighters assn. I appreciate everything the volunteers do and support the assn in principle. However, their fundraising arm of callers who can be argumentative if you don’t want to give them credit card details is unpleasant…and unnecessary. A simple solution to the volunteer firefighters problems would be to pay them as their brothers in metropolitan areas are. At least commiserate to when they are on active duty. Then, they wouldn’t have to scrap for donations to pay for better equipment etc, which I think is unfair in the first place, that they have to do so to make their work more pleasant and safe is a blot on our government.
I can recommend that if you wish to support your volunteers, locally, individual brigades of your choice would be happy to accept donations- some are even tax deductible which is not the case when donating direct to the RFSA. And why is that ?
To all volunteers, thank you and stay safe.

Caller: RFSA Even if legit, callers are pretty forceful. Have asked my tel contacts be removed from their records but it hasn’t been. I tell them any donations I make would be directly to the RFS in future, not the RFSA, or to a particular local RFSNSW brigade, not the RFSA.
It’s not that I don’t appreciate the RFSA members but the org needs to reflect on its methods to fundraise. I gave once to their raffle and have been called over and over.

Caller: RFSA I stayed on call, talked to Mathew Grego
Gave me this number 1300 886 067 Which when I searched it up took me to this website https://rfsaraffle.org.au/.
IDK if it real but he'll send me an email since I don't do phone call details. If it's legit, I'd feel bad that they don't get donos due to telephone scams.
Sincerely Andrew
