the caller said that he was from The Australian tax office , and that I had failed to lodge the last 2 tax returns, plus all mail sent out to me has been returned and they have taken legal action against me and if I do not call back immediately on the number (02) 9095 7082 ( which was said more quickly than all other talk ), they would send out the bailiff to come and put me in jail.
The puzzle is that I have not worked since 2012 when I was told that I had 6 to 18 months to live with stage 4 cancer and had a 12 hour operation in dec 2012 which I lived through, but I can't work and have been put on a disability pension. Plus I have an accountant , whom I have rang and no such advice from the tax office.
I am not required to lodge any tax returns.
