It's a legit phone number for Compass Claims. They provide a car for you to use whilst your car is being fixed at a smash-repair place - usually it's against the person at fault's insurance claim. I've used them 4 times and haven't paid for any of the use of the cars (because I've not been at fault). Like-for-like cars - Range Rover getting fixed? You'll get a similar luxury model car.

This is likely Compass Cars & is legit (and they're good) if you've requested car hire after an accident. Scammers may be spoofing this number so wait for a message bank message & call them back on 1300 135 485

Claiming car accident in Feb, called August, with my husband but had my number from claimants. I told them to go away.

It looks like they were posing as insurance company for car accident.
