Caller: James James Called in on (02) 9078 7900 caller id claiming to be from Optus. Office staff asked if he was a reseller or worked for Optus. He said he was definitely an Optus employee. Staff asked for call back No. (02) 9078 7971 was provided and was called back within 2 minutes and got James on the "direct" No. Thus the message was passed to me to expect another call.
Expecting a scam I decided to tell him I had died a week ago. I got Indian Mary, when I asked for James she wanted to know what company I was calling for.....lots of ringing phones in background. Definitely a call centre scammer. Tip: If ringing back on their "direct" No. wait 30 minutes and the caller will be different. They have obviously had a lot ring back to check on authenticity and sit on that extn awaiting your returned call.
