Caller: Scammer from fake Ebay

Automatic robot message stating I had $200 being taken from my account for an Ebay order. Press 1 to confirm or Press 2 to speak to someone. I got through to an Indian sounding male. I could hear lots of wind so I immediately asked if he was outside and he hung up.

Caller: Supposedly Visa

2 calls today with a recorded message, supposedly from Visa Fraud department.
Um no.
I don't want to post about what made it obvious because they can read and then improve their scam technique.

Got a recorded message saying there were incorrect transactions on my Visa card, asking me to press 1 to accept the charges, or 2 to cancel them. I knew if I pressed 2 I'd be transferred to an Indian scammer call centre, usually I try to keep them on the line as long as possible to prevent them scamming someone else but I wasn't in the mood today.

Caller: Robocall Scammer

Some junk about Visa transactions in a recorded message. Honestly, you would have to be pretty gullible to fall for it. Waste of time though

Claimed to be Visa, 2 suspicious transactions, press 1 to allow 2 to reject bullsh*t. Authenticated communication channels is the ONLY way this stuff will ever get better. Look into the concept of Decentralized Identity if you want to learn about technology that will help solve this bullsh*t the telcos refuse to fix.

Another scam call - rule, never answer an unknown number; if it’s important they will leave message, then u can investigate validity first. So thankful for sites like this
