Woman in call centre (probably from India because of few seconds of delay when answering). I said I didn't understand what the call was about, and she hung up. She must love her job.

Caller: Said they were mastercard/ visa and work with all the major banks

They attempted to tell me that an 1800 charge to my MasterCard was made without my consent. Asked for my IP address (for which I gave them a fake) they asked me to turn off gambling charges on my banking (they wouldn't tell me which bank they were contacting me on even though they were transferring me to the bank apparently). They then tried to get me to download Anydesk which is an app that lets people remote into your devices and see everything you see, which means they can steal your identity and money. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ANYTHING OUT TO THESE PEOPLE!

Got a call saying someone was hacked in my PC

Rang 3 times, hung up. No message

I just got a all from this number claiming to be TELSTRA - when asked if they were a scam, she was offended. Lol. She asked me to log into my computer as 'others' had been accessing my account. I said I was at work and she asked when she can call back - I said I would call Telstra back and she hung up. SCAM SCAM SCAM

30.03.2023 , exactly the same happend to me claiming to be from CBA bank.. Thank you for posting this , if you didn’t I probably would have gone ahead. I called the bank to check and def a scammer .. anyone asking to install Anydesk is a scammer ..
