Caller: Financial recovery company (fake) Lady called. Lots of background noise (often sign of a call centre and possible scammers). Lady kept saying they had received my name and number from ASIC and their “cryptoanalyst” said they had realised I had had money stolen from me by a company. Wanted to know if the name they gave was really me as someone was trading under my name and number. I kept asking questions because she began to contradict her own story - asked whether I had had money stolen, but then said only their crypto person would know that, so I asked how I would know if only the crypto person knew, and she got very confused and kept repeating herself.
Be careful to never confirm your details unless you know it’s a legitimate call. The number she was using was my nickname (not legal first name) and my maiden surname (I’ve been married for 8 years and rarely use my maiden surname, especially not for financial stuff).
Because I kept picking holes in what she was saying she finally ended the call.

Absolute idiots. I tried to play it nice and calm, I just said thank you so much but i am not interested, would you mind removing my number from your call list? Then the lady actually said to me, "haha no maam im going to keep calling you every single day". And she has, multiple times a day and it has been about 10 days of this now. Very very frustrating.

Caller: Some financial recovery company? Scam for sure, probably trying to catch some poor person that believes that they owe them money.

Went through to my voicemail, I could hear call-centre in background, the caller just kept saying hello and then hung up and left no details.

(02) 9070 9658 - I let this number ring out as I don't know this number. Did not leave a message. I did a quick search else where and someone else flagged it as a scam caller.
