Said they were Telstra and wanted to know my connection speed. When I would not give it to them, they told me they were disconnecting my internet service.

Caller: telstra technician - Adam

Spoke with guy name Adam with Indian accent. Asking my internet speed because they saw lots of error in their database.

I told him, I am not comfortable talking with him and he is keep trying convincing me that he is from Telstra and genuinely they never call people unless they have error and because we are such a great customer and they care that is why they called.

I asked him what is the URL to speed test and he gave me speedtest.net and I told him he is not from Telstra and he said what I can not hear you...

So ok, I test the speed test for him for download 100MBpS and Upload 18MbPS and he said ok download is great but with your plan you should be getting 126 MbPS and 60Mps but not worry we can fix this over the phone let me transfer you ....

I just ended the call.

Another spam scam for the day... blocked!

It’s 100% a hoax (scam call), to fix the problem, just block them. No more follow up calls from this number ever again.

Caller: ‘Mark’ from Telstra

Bogus call from a noisy call centre, launched into some scripted drivel before I hung up.

I didn’t answer. They didn’t leave a voicemail or attempt to call back. I will be blocking this number.

Called I wasn't going to answer . I waited for 6rings. Answered .I could hear a noisy back ground . They didn't answer quick enough so I hung up .. if it's NBN scammers I don't know.

Said they were from ebay and i had placed an order. When i said i dont use ebay he got angry and started to raise his voice at me. Sounded very load in the background, indian accent

Said they were Telstra and had detected a discrepancy in my internet settings. When I said “how about I call Telstra and see if there really is a problem” they hung up on me immediately.

Seems like a scam- called about slow internet connection, aggressive questioning from them, but when I challenged them to give my full name they couldn't do it. sounded like it was coming from a busy call centre

Threatened to cancel my Aust Broadband connection
