Answered phone with no response. Caller hung up. When trying to call number back, it wouldn’t connect

Seems like a scam

Made out he was from an electrical broker in Australia. Pretended to be from an Australian broker company. I fell for it and they switched me to a more expensive company than the one I was with. Only found that out when I got the first bill as the prices the scammer quoted me was supposed to be about 5% cheaper than my existing company.
They fitted me up with a company that was 15% dearer than my existing company. ie. I did not get the standard industry 15% off the statutory rate.
They use Anglo-Saxon first names, but would appear to actually be in Paki or Nigeria.

lady called, quite rude. was able to ascertain how she obtained my information. Calling from JR Technologies, India, scoping out FB businesses to promote SEO and website designs. However, my also Google Search was able to establish previous scams for this number for NBN, Gas and Electricity. I'm on a Do Not Call Register so these calls greatly annoy me. I phoned the number back and spoke to Alex "Business Manager" and politely advised him what I thought and how it would be best that my number is NOT dialed again.

Scammer - and they even phone on a public holiday.

Rang up and stayed on the line for 10 seconds after I answered it and then they hung up.

Caller: Gas/Electricity comparison - Unclear if legit

Indian man introduced himself as Joseph from some Gas/Electricity comparison company - didn't quite catch the name. Before he got too far into rant, told him I just signed 12 month contract and then he hung up. I would assume a legit company would politely thank you and bid you a good day, so I'm leaning towards SCAM & have now blocked number
