Electronic voice stating it was an emergency call from Amazon. Someone has purchased an iPhone 11 for $7??? AUD. I hung up before before I heard more. No purchase was made on my Amazon account.

Call center. Shows as a sydney number but that is untrue. Sydney is in lock down so large groups of call centres are not allowed. Hung up.

Attempted contact from ph. No. to my mobile, which was not answered with no message left. As we have a silent unlisted home phone the no. (02) 9066 5468 was rung, to be advised that the number dialled was not a number in use.

Hung up when I requested information about my own card company.

That I had placed an order with them and he wanted to verify the order. I said I had not placed an order that he has the wrong person. He wanted to know if my devices were connected and that I needed to connect to Amazon so that he could fix the problem as the details he gave me were not mine. He was insistent that I connect to Amazon so that he could check my IP address and trace who was using my phone number and prevent them from accessing my bank account. He also gave me an IP address which was different to mine. I did not give him my details. Reported this call to ACCC Scamwatch.
