Caller: Scammer

Claim to be from Aust Bone Marrow Donor Registry but the real number for ABMDR has one number different.
Asking for updated details.
Nearly fell for it, as I used to be registered as a donor, but am now far too old to qualify. So why do they need my details? Also send texts to try to make it look legit.

Received a text from 0481 074 774 indicating that Aust Bone Marrow Donor Registry had tried to contact me to confirm my details and asked me to call back on (02) 9061 5333.
I didn't see the text until after business hours.
This number differs from the listed phone number on ABMDR website so I called the listed phone number and they confirmed that they have outsourced updating of donor details.
However, the lady I spoke to at ABMDR was happy to confirm my details directly given that I was already on the phone.
Looks like text was legit

Called 7:30 am but left no message

Caller: Supposedly Australian Organ Donor Register

Sounded like a Call Centre in India.
